The Center for Health Information Analysis (CHIA) is a research center at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) within the School of Public Health. CHIA partners with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS),  Division of Healthcare Financing and Policy (DHCFP).

CHIA collects certain billing record fields from all hospital inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory surgical centers. We serve the community by making specific Nevada Healthcare related data and reports available to both the private and public sectors. We are HIPAA compliant.

Our goal is to provide meaningful data to help research organizations in developing utilization patterns, health status, and related issues.

My Own Network by AHRQ
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has the mission to produce evidence to make health care safer, higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and to work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and other partners to make sure that the evidence is understood and used. MONAHRQ is a public presentation of that information.

This website presents various AHRQ Quality Indicators, CMS Hospital Compare Indicators, and charge statistics on Avoidable Stays.

Quality Matters

The purpose of the information on this website is to provide up to date and quantifiable data to better the services provided by healthcare facilities in Nevada. Facilities are rated using national standards produced by AHRQ and CMS. The information is objective. The items presented are based on aspects of quality that both professionals and patients said are important to them.
